The art of living at the castle

Whether you are passing through on the Compostela pilgrimage routes or looking for an extraordinary stopover, the castle opens two spacious, light-filled rooms to you. Set within a large landscaped park, this charming residence opens its tall windows to the south, onto the terrace.

When you stay at Barbarin, the house is open to you. You are free to curl up on the comfortable sofas of the sitting room or enjoy the atmosphere of the grand salon. Armchairs are at your disposal should you wish to linger on the terrace, facing a view that stretches all the way to the Vercors.

The Louise du Bourg room

A beautiful and spacious Historic-Monument room, complemented by a fine English fabric that brings out the 15th-century wall paintings that adorn it, along with its period furniture.

Breakfasts and the table d'hôtes

To start the day well, a gourmet breakfast made from local, home-made products is served in the dining room or, in fine weather, outdoors.

By reservation, you can also share a special moment at our table d’hôtes (host’s table), an opportunity to discover regional flavours in a warm and convivial atmosphere in the company of the hosts.

Do you offer special rates for weekends?

Yes, we offer a weekend package: €260 for the Louise du Bourg room and €220 for the Marie de Roussillon room.

Yes, a gourmet breakfast made from fresh, home-made products is included in the room price. It is served until 10:30 am in the dining room or, in fine weather, on the terrace.

With a reservation the day before, we invite you to share our table d’hôtes to discover local, seasonal produce in a warm atmosphere. Aperitif, wine, coffee and herbal tea are included.

The rooms have Wi-Fi. As a Historic Monument, the castle does not have air conditioning, but heating is provided from the rooms’ opening in April until their closing at the end of October.

No, the castle does not have PRM access and the rooms involve stairs.

Bookings are made directly by e-mail or telephone (no third-party platform is used). A €50 deposit is requested at the time of booking. On site, payment is made by cheque or in cash.
